VAUTID VVP 145
For exceptionally wear-resistant hardfacing at elevated operating temperatures
This composite wear plate comprises a base plate which has been overlaid, using a special metal arc welding process, with our highly abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant VAUTID 145 hardfacing welding consumable.
VAUTID 145 incorporates chrome carbide in a heat-stable matrix, reinforced by a combination of highly effective tungsten, niobium and vanadium carbides. This enables the product to achieve exceptional service life under abrasive wear at high temperatures.
Recommended applications:
- Components that are exposed to temperatures of up to 750°C.
- To protect surfaces that are subjected to very high levels of abrasive wear, e.g. sinter crushers, glass recycling equipment, and shovels and scraper bars on surface mining equipment.
- Components that are subjected to severe abrasion at elevated temperatures, such as hot gas ventilation fans, hot dust ducts, and blast furnace bell liners.
This welding alloy is also available as a VAUTID hardfacing welding consumable (VAUTID 145).
Wear resistance
In abrasive applications, VAUTID 145 extends service life up to a factor of 14 compared to S235JR
